Compassionate, mindful, and evidence-based support during your postpartum period
I work with you to take care of the practical things that need to get done -- so that you can stay rested and bond with your new baby. I do what we can to create a soothing atmosphere in your home.
I provide evidence-based, up-to-date information (never opinions) on standards of newborn care and postpartum recovery, with the goal of promoting maximum self-determination for you and your family.
I nurture you, the new parent, holding your emotions with compassion. I know when to recommend other professional resources. I help you with menial tasks so that you can rest and recover. I support you regardless of the circumstances or outcomes of your baby's birth.
Joanna (she/her) is a DONA-trained postpartum doula who believes wholeheartedly that every new family deserves a village of support. She loves being able to be a part of that village by supporting new parents in joys and difficulties of their postpartum period.
When she's not nerding out about all things birth and babies, she enjoys gardening, cooking, sewing, and singing. She lives in Cleveland with her partner, Max, and their cat, Billie.
